Step 1: Metabolic Type Testing

Basically you will have to answer a few multiple choice questions that will determine if you are a: Protein Type, Carb Type or Mixed Type. I learn that I belong to the “Protein Type” after completing the test. I found out that Protein Type typically crave rich, fatty foods such as pizza, sausages, and salty roasted nuts. I have to admit that sounds just like me! I also learn that Protein Types need a diet high in proteins and fats and low in carbohydrates. This test took me only 5 minutes to do.

Healthy Salad Dressing

(Sally Fallon, Nourishing Traditions)

MAKES: ~¾ cup

1 tsp Dijon-style mustard, smooth or grainy

2 tbsp + 1 tsp wine vinegar

½ cup olive oil

1 tbsp flax seed oil

Whisk mustard into vinegar. Add olive oil in a thin stream, whisking constantly until

A Quick Update On The Pros & Cons Of The Diet Solution Program

After reading so many “perfect” reviews online on The Diet Solution Program, I decided to share with you what I like and dislike about this program. Although I am very pleased with the results I am seeing after trying out this program, I feel that many “reviewers” missed out on some important things. Here I will explicitly break down both the pros and cons about the The Diet Solution Program so that you can make an informed choice before purchasing the program.

What I Dislike about The Diet Solution Program

  • Does not cover exercise program.

While I understand that this book focuses more on nutrition and diet, it would be great if there is a dedicated section on an exercise program that I could incorporate along with this diet plan so that I can achieve my weight loss goal in a more holistic way. However Isabel did mention briefly a few workout program such as strength training and cardiovascular training. You may want to check those out. If you are looking for an exercise program-only book, then this program is not for you.

  • Limited vegetarian meal plans.

Although the program suggests vegetarian alternatives, I find the section too brief. I have vegetarian friends who read the book and found that this does not cater to them that much.

What I Like about The Diet Solution Program

  • Great support

The Diet Solution has a great support. For instance Isabel answered my questions during the personal email consultation very promptly. Yes I know that some of you prefer to read physical books, and I belonged to that category as well. But I find that The Diet Solution Program is perfect for an ebook format. What I did was to print them out and file them. I find it is easier for me to keep track of the meal charts and food guide that way. For those who prefer a hard copy, you can still get it for a nominal fee once you purchased the digital copy. Although from what I heard it is basically the printed out version of the digital copy bind together. Honestly, I think you are better of downloading the program to your computer and read them online or print them out yourself.

  • It is a program

As the title of the book suggests, it is a diet program. It is a structured plan to help you lose weight and more importantly eat right. The difference between The Diet Solution Program and other diet plans out there is that the book is armed with powerful charts and diagrams that focuses on the exact serving sizes,ratio and proportion of what food you should eat.I still keep track on the food that I consume daily by noting it down on the useful journal till this day.
